Shree Pashupatinath Nepali Canadian Culture Centre (PNCCC)
A temple establishing to protect and promote Hindu and Buddhist spiritual thoughts and values and transfer knowledge and practices to the next generations

Institutional Development and Background:
As a symbolic representation of the revered Shri Pashupatinath Temple—one of Hinduism’s eight principal pilgrimage sites—the Pashupatinath Nepali Canadian Cultural Centre (PNCCC) was established in the Scarborough area of Toronto. The centre’s primary aim is to promote religious tolerance among all Nepali-speaking residents of the Greater Toronto Area, particularly in Ontario, Canada, and to foster mutual harmony through religious, cultural, and social volunteer activities. The centre stands as a source of pride for all Nepali-speaking immigrants.
On January 26, 2004, PNCCC was officially registered as a non-profit organization, and the Shri Pashupatinath Temple was established in Scarborough. Initially, arrangements were made for regular worship, bhajans, and darshan.
From 2010 to 2018, the centre’s activities remained dormant for a period; however, the organization was legally reactivated on September 24, 2019. Since then, a property has been purchased in the same area for the temple, and from March 2023 onwards, regular daily rituals and celebrations of various festivals, as per the Hindu calendar, have been conducted with devotion.
